10th Shawwal is regarded as one of the dates when the Greater Occultation (Ghaybah al-Kubrah) of our Imam began. Every day, we feel his absence as the world sinks into injustice; and pray for the hastening of his reappearance.

It is recommended to recite the following Ziyarah of our Imam after the Fajr prayer. According to Allamah Majlisis, it is also instructed in books to put your right hand on your left hand after reciting this Ziyarah to enact allegiance.
