I went to the Wissahickon creek to do a little Spring trout fishing. This creek was recently stocked for the Spring trout season. I saw a lot of trout, but they were being picky about what they wanted to bite. I had to do some exploring and a lot of fishing before I found some trout that were willing to bite. I used rooster tail spinners the entire day and caught some big fish. Many anglers have been complaining that it's been a rough few weeks of opening season, but sometimes being persistent is the best way to catch a trout. Trout are smart fish and scare easily and these fish have been highly pressured. Sometimes it pays off to use different lures and try different spots. You should always remember to have patience when trout fishing.
