HotMaxx, a grocery chain from mainland China, made its debut in Hong Kong in September 2024. The new chain quickly drew attention from locals because of its impressively low prices, such as a can of Coca-Cola for HK$3 (US$0.39) or a 375ml bottle of whisky for HK$25 (US$3.21).
