With a constantly changing set of tools and accompanying principles in data center automation, how do you keep up and learn all the intricacies of these tools?
In this talk I will show how we built the HashiContest platform for HashiConf EU with Terraform, Vault, Consul and Nomad. The contest platform teaches modern data center automation through gamification of the learning process.
What if companies could create their own competition, with a copy of their environment, and then simulate scenarios (such as failures) in order to teach their engineers how to deal with them. --
