“Inside and Out” by the BeeGees (and more recently Feist) - Performed by Stu Harrison on the Roland RD-88

Introduction:

The RD88 is a brand-new 88 note stage piano from Roland that combines a light-weight frame, huge sound selection, and 3 separate sound engines to deliver one of the most versatile portable pianos on the entire market.

The sample in today’s video is the Tine E. Piano ‘scene’ (preset), without any tweaking...just factory default settings.

The RD88 builds upon many of the same feature offerings as past RD series stage pianos, which a few notable differences: it’s MUCH lighter (29lbs), it has WAY MORE SOUNDS (3000+) functions as a USB Audio Interface, onboard record features, dual audio inputs, and assignable controls for DAW control. Oh yeah...and onboard speakers.

Here’s a playing sample with Stu playing one of his favorite R&B classic standards, “Inside and Out”, by The BeeGees, and more recently covered by Feist.
