The teenager started the season slowly but scored his first senior Reds goal in the midweek win over Rubin Kazan.
Jordon Ibe's recent upturn in form is down to Jurgen Klopp 's man management skills.
The former Wycombe winger started the season slowly but has improved in recent weeks since the arrival of Liverpool's new German boss.
He scored his first senior goal for the club on Thursday, helping them to a 1-0 win over Rubin Kazan that keeps their Europa League hopes alive.
And Klopp has revealed what sparked the improvement, report the Liverpool Echo.
“Until now, I didn’t speak to all the players one on one because I don’t have time,” Klopp said.
“But I have spoken to some of them, yes. Jordon was one of them, for sure. But it was not in my office.
“We don’t have the time. It was on the (training) pitch. There we can talk. You know Jordon is a very skilled guy. He is not too bad!
“It’s not my work that he is the player he is in this moment. But he needs our help and we need him. That is the truth.
“With his speed, he is very different to most of the players I know. Now he has scored a fantastic goal. This is all really new for him. It’s cool. He is a young lad.”
When Klopp took over last month he bemoaned the lack of belief running through the squad he inherited after a series of damaging setbacks.
But he has managed to quickly lift spirits with morale in the squad now buoyant ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at Anfield as Liverpooleye a fourth straight win in all competitions.
There is a chance for everybody but you have to use that chance
Klopp insists it’s the players who deserve the credit for grasping the opportunity given to them by a fresh start.
“It is always the same when a new manager comes in,” he said.
“The situation changed – that is normal. Another person is in and the judgements of the past don’t matter.
“But the players have to use this situation. That’s what these guys like.
“It’s not only Jordon, there are many players. Little Cameron Brannagan has shown everything in this moment in training.
“There is a chance for everybody but you have to use that chance. That is what they are doing.”
Thursday’s victory in Russia extended Klopp’s unbeaten run with the Reds to six matches.
The German is closing in on the club record belonging to the legendary Bob Paisley, who went unbeaten for eight games at the start of his Anfield reign.
After winning at Stamford Bridge last weekend, Klopp was delighted by the further progress the Reds made at the Kazan Arena. Momentum is building.
“I don’t believe in transformation in a short period,” he insisted.
“We are talking about space in our performances. But in Kazan I was surprised how dominant we were.
“The pitch was really not good but we played football all the time against a defensive opponent and recovered when we lost it in dangerous areas.
“We had not done this dominance since I’d been here. We have to be really concentrated and there we were really concentrated.
“You have to win games like this. These are not the ones you win 2-0 or 3-0. It maybe feels better but, for our development, this is better.”
