Pakistan has recently been removed from the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force, the world’s “terrorism financing watchdog”. The Islamic nation was added to the grey list in 2018 because of “strategic deficiencies” in countering money laundering and terrorist financing. Paying tribute to victims of the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, world leaders converged to India’s financial capital recently to pay their respects. Hotel Taj Mahal Palace, which was attacked by Pakistani terrorists in 2008, hosted the anti-terrorism meeting of UN Security Council on October 28. The meeting was attended by representatives of all 15 UN Security Council members. India has been serving as the chair of the Counter-Terrorism Committee this year and has shown its unwavering commitment towards the fight against global terrorism.
