ICE In Conversation About Jackson Pollock
[ Ссылка ]
The Institute for Creative Enterprise (ICE) is Edge Hill University’s practice-led and theoretically grounded interdisciplinary research forum which connects us with the digital and creative economy and with cultural institutions.
Join Dr Stephanie Straine, curator at Tate Liverpool, and Dr Catherine Marcangeli, curator of First Happenings: Adrian Henri in the ‘60s and ‘70s, at the ICA in London in 2014/15, as they discuss the life and work of Jackson Pollock. Pollock famously pioneered action painting, a process that saw him drip paint on canvass resting on the studio floor, and he is widely considered to be one of the most influential and provocative American artists of the twentieth century.
Filmed in the flagship £17million Creative Edge building, which houses industry-standard facilities including TV studios, recording studios, animation studios, sound-editing studios, a radio studio, photographic studio and Multimedia laboratory.

Jackson Pollock: Blind Spots
30th June – 18th October 2015
Tate Liverpool
This is the first exhibition in more than 30 years to explore the artist’s black pourings, a lesser known but extremely influential part of his practice. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to see the largest number of Pollock’s black pourings ever assembled in the UK, with some never before seen in this country.
This exhibition is a collaboration between Tate Liverpool and the Dallas Museum of Art, where it will then be on display 15 November 2015 – 20 March 2016.
