DESCRIPTION:
A delightful combination of prawns, rice and Indian masalas make a delicious wholesome dish.
INGREDIENTS:
Oil 4-6 tbs
Shrimp 1 cup
Onions(chopped) ½ cup
Salt To taste
Green chillies 2 nos
Curry leaves 1 spring
Tomato(chopped) 1 cup
Coconut milk 1 cup
Red chilly powder 1 tsp
Lime juice 1 tbs
Garam masala ¼ tsp
Rice(soaked for 20 min) 1 cup
METHOD:
1. Heat oil in a pan and add shrimp and saute it, transfer into a plate and keep aside.
2. In the same pan add onions, salt, green chillies, curry leaves and saute it for 1 mins.
3. To it add tomato, coconut milk, water and cook it for 5 min with lid on it.
4. To it add red chilly powder, lime juice, garam masala, little more water, shrimp and cook it for 2 min and remove shrimp with help of ladle and keep aside.
5. To the boiling water add rice and cook it until it is 80% done.
6. Remove lid and arrange shrimp and place lid and and cook it for 5 min on slow flame.
7. Now shrimp pulao is ready to serve.
