Sky News contributor Gary Hardgrave says the Australian government are “idiots” for not considering nuclear energy.

Mr Hardgrave told Sky News host Sharri Markson that there is a real “sovereign risk” if Australia’s energy supply is insufficient.

Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen rejected an agreement aimed to speed up the development of new nuclear technology.

Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek defended the decision by posting on X (formerly Twitter).
