In case of street fights, neighbour disputes, or any heated argument between individuals or groups which may escalate into a fight, it is always advisable to bring the police on your side.

In such situation be the one to call the police first and try to show that you understand and acknowledge that cops are not simply a mode for case registration but also a mechanism to de-escalate any heated situation and establish peace and harmony in society.

Furthermore, the call made to the Police becomes extremely important as evidence to establish “proactive-peace-seeking” conduct of the person. Remember, these calls do get recorded and subsequently a brief statement is made stating the name, time, and purpose of the call.

To conclude calling the cops with an intention to seek their help to de-escalate the situation helps as a valuable peace of evidence in your favour.
