Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju in Lok Sabha on July 26 said the BJP's view on the Uniform Civil Code is clear and that should be considered as views of the government and as well as the country. The Law Minister's comments came amid debate on Family Courts Amendment Bill. Rijiju cleared BJP's stance as BJP-ruled states have already considered implementing UCC. Uttarakhand government formed an expert committee to implement UCC in May.
