These are made from wax that we’ve collected from our own bees. Most of the wax goes back to the bees in the form of wax sheets in frames, but we make candles too. Usually we dip them – and that makes a lovely candle too, but I was experimenting a bit and came up with these. I like them – they’re supposed to be roses - though to be honest they’re not that practical. They don’t float very well (only paraffin wax candles do that) but they do burn very sweetly.
I should have said in the video that you need really warm water (as if you’re washing the dishes), and you start rolling from the point where I started cutting the disc.
If you’re interested I put the finished flower candles up for sale on Etsy and also discs in sets if you want to make some but don’t have any beeswax.
