Gibbons calling on a calm morning deep in the rainforests of Borneo. You can clearly hear the echoes from the hillside as the louder or more distant sounds are reflected back towards the microphones. The gibbons call a bit randomly at first, take a break and then seem to come together in a more organised way.

A variety of birds call from various directions and distances. From shamas to barbets and starlings, they balance and complement the fascinating primate calls. Lastly, insects offer a continuous backdrop that goes up and down in intensity.
