World Cross Country Champion Geoffrey Kamworor raced to victory in Heat One of the men’s 1,500 meters, during the first day of the Athletics Kenya Track and Field Weekend Meet in Eldoret.
Kamworor clocked 3 minutes 41.2 seconds, beating James Tenai to second. Joram Lumbasi won the men's 10,000m Final, in a time of 29 minutes 16.7 seconds as Benard Kimeli followed in second place. The event continues tomorrow at the Kipchoge Keino Stadium, in Eldoret.
