Panasonic’s S5 IIx is largely similar to the Panasonic S5 II. However, it’s bound to be a much more popular camera with video pros thanks to the addition of internal ProRes recording via the SSD port. With a bit of rigging, it lets you record hours of very high-quality footage to a relatively cheap drive. With the other new features, like the all-new and effective phase-detect autofocus and best-in-class in-body stabilization, it’s an amazing pro camera – and costs just $200 more than the S5 II.
