Chopin Prelude (No.26) B.86 Op.Posth in A flat major

The Presto con leggerezza, in the key of A flat major, is dated 18 July 1834. It could have found its way into the Op. 28 cycle of Preludes, but was outvied by the wonderfully songful Prelude in A flat major (No. 17). The Presto con leggerezza is lively and airy, flitting along without touching the ground.
