When I was in Las Vegas for the PCA 2023, I talked with Brian Shapiro about the Serie V Melanio 2023 Figurino, a limited edition made by Oliva Cigars.

Hans Rijfkogel:
All right, guys. I'm here at the Oliva booth at PCA in Las Vegas, together with Brian Shapiro, the global brand ambassador for Oliva. And we are standing in front of a special product, and I wanted to ask Brian to tell us a little bit about it. Hi Brian, how are you?

Brian Shapiro:
Good morning, good afternoon, or wherever you are in the world. Good evening. I don't know.

Hans Rijfkogel:
So we got a limited edition behind us, the Serie V Melanio. Maybe you can tell us a little bit about this product.

Brian Shapiro:
Yep. So this is our new release, the 2023 release that we've been doing for the last six years. This one is special, super special. They're all special. But this one's a little bit different in the fact that it's a shape that we came up with that's totally different than what we've done in the past.

Normally, we do a release each year using the Melanio blend. Melanio is normally pressed every year when we do our Limitada. It is round, so that makes it different in and of itself. And in this case, this year, I don't know if we can focus on the cigar, but you'll see it's a shape that, I don't know if we created the name or not, I'm not so sure, but it is the name Figuriño, which is a Perfecto cigar, a Figurado, tapered at both ends.

It is the same exact Melanio blend, but the box and the presentation are also very special. The vista on the inside of the box is beautiful, which shows our farms. So while you're looking at the cigar, you also can see the beautiful view of what we look at when we're visiting Nicaragua.

And the total production is 20,000 boxes. 15,000 boxes for the USA. 5,000 boxes for international. And once they're gone, they're gone. So get them while you can because they're really special.

Hans Rijfkogel:
