It also covers the code of conduct for the soldiers. Statutory policy in The Protection of Human Rights Act for highlighting allegations on human rights abuse by the men in uniform has also been explained.
Maj Gen Nilendra Kumar was Judge Advocate General of the Indian Army from 2001 to 2008. Thereafter, he headed Amity Law School, Noida as its Director from 2009 -16. Presently he is the Executive Director of Indian Society of International Law while also heading Lex Consilium Foundation, a charitable company incorporated under section 8 of the Company's Act devoted primarily to legal education. He is also an author, commentator and YouTuber on law and other subjects.
