Meet Reski.
Reski’s story began with heartbreak. He was confined to a small cage for days, enduring excruciating pain from a broken leg that his owner refused to treat. Despite his cries, he received no care or comfort.
After negotiating with the owner—an effort that required paying a sum of money—I was finally able to rescue him. Reski was immediately taken to the vet, where it became clear just how fragile he was. At only 2.5 months old and weighing a mere 1.6 kilograms, he was painfully tiny and weak.
Visiting him at the clinic, I saw how unwell he still looked, but I held on to hope that with time, love, and care, he would recover. Reski seemed withdrawn, barely responsive, and uninterested in food. Even an egg—a treat most pups would love—didn’t tempt him. However, I noticed a spark of trust in his eyes during gentle pats, as though he was beginning to realize he was safe.
“C’mon, kiddo,” I whispered to him. “You’ve got so many people rooting for you.”
Reski was a fighter. His resilience shone through even as he battled Parvo in a quarantine area. Day by day, his strength returned. His eyes grew brighter, his appetite improved, and his little spirit started to shine.
Eventually, his leg began to heal, and Reski was cleared to leave the vet. Back home, he settled into his new life, complete with nutritious meals, a cozy bed, and toys to play with.
Watching Reski grow has been a joy. The once-fragile pup is now thriving, his days filled with happiness and playfulness. Reski's journey from suffering to joy is a testament to the power of compassion and perseverance.
Reski has truly blossomed into a healthy, happy dog, surrounded by love and care.
Watching him explore the outdoors was a poignant moment.
He walked and even ran with visible joy, relishing the freedom he had been denied for so long.
