While it may not be as successful or grand as Your Name, A Silent Voice is a much deeper story I think. It's a story about depression, social anxiety, and about learning to love yourself. While I don't suffer from depression myself, I can relate to a lot of the things in this movie, and it did help me through a rough spot last year. So, having now read the manga and recently re watched the movie at a cinema, it was time for me to finally cover this.
It's a bit rough around the edges, but I stayed up late and played until my hands turned all red, so I'm pleased with my effort. It's not that fast, but I added chords in the melody AND bass jumps, so I couldn't watch my right hand for the chord changes. Basically I made my own little technical nightmare T_T
I'll leave you off with a quote from the composer, concerning this song and its naming scheme.
"The last song "lit", which was only played 2 times, means "light". This movie, which is about achieving the light, ended with this song attached."
