The Two Row Wampum was the first agreement between the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) and the first European settlers, the Dutch. It established basic understandings of how we are to coexist here together in peace and friendship, and the Covenant Chain of Friendship was renewed throughout many subsequent treaty proceedings with the Dutch, English, and Americans.
