China launched its second Shijian-16 series satellite on Wednesday.
The satellite was carried by a Long March-4B rocket and took off at 11:21 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.
The satellite will be used mainly for space environment monitor and technical tests.
Wednesday's launch is the 231st by a Long March rocket.
