The Uganda Armed Forces have been urged to recognize that domestic violence against women is a huge problem in society and must be given the attention it deserves. The public lecture held at Makerere Business School Nakawa, addressed the role of security organs in combating domestic violence against females. The lecture was attended by a number of key members like Justice David Batema, the Chief Executive Officer of FIDA international Irene Ovonji Odida and Assistant Inspector General of Police Fred Yiga.
