San Gorgonio is the tallest mountain in Southern California. In this video we will give you directions to the peak & some epic drone footage along the way. Standing at 11,503’ this hike is not for the beginner, I would try a few smaller peaks before attempting this one. One of the benefits to locals is that this hike is only about a hour outside of LA & Orange Counties.

We took the Vivan Creek trail head which is about an 18 mile out & back trek. The first part of this hike is very steep and after that is a slow push to the summit.

Things you need to know:

Start early - The trail head officially opens at 6am so that’s the best time to start. Also parking can be a bit crazy so arrive early to secure your spot.

Adventure Pass - You will also need a parking pass so make sure to purchase one before hand at REI or your local outdoor shop.

Stay hydrated - I brought along 3 liters of water & 1 Gatorade for electrolytes

Directions to the trail head - Type in “Vivan Creek trailhead” into google maps or use the GPS coordinates
