My second trip to Oslo to see my friend and celebrate May 17 (17 Mai).

I flew Icelandair from Toronto to Keflavik (Iceland) to Oslo. The plane from Keflavik to Oslo was smaller but the trip was only a couple hours. When I landed, I rode the Flytoget to Oslo S. Last time I visited Oslo I took the local, slower train for cheaper. But this time I was so tired and eager to wash myself after many hours of travel that I did not want to spend any more time and brain cells on catching the cheaper train.
I checked into Citybox Oslo where I stayed in probably the exact same single bed hotel room 2 years ago. I love Citybox Oslo because it's bare bones and no frills – and within short walking distance from Oslo Central Station.
I walk you through my sushi eating, my jet lag, and basic things I wanted to keep for my memories.
17 mai is a big celebration in Norway, but really an opportunity for friends and family to gather and drink and be merry. Oslo is the place where I catch the DFDS ferry to Copenhagen, Denmark, which you can watch here: [ Ссылка ]
