Emmanuel Macron was elected to a second term as French president on Sunday evening with 58.8% of the vote, according to an estimate from the Ipsos polling institute. "Our country is imbued with so much doubt," Macron said in his victory speech at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. "But no one will be left by the wayside," he vowed.
