I believe this issue is mainly related to RVs that have the refrigerator
in the slide out. Instead of a roof vent it has a side vent and it has trouble with air flow.
The main reason I made this change was to reduce the fan noise and not to improve cooling.

Also, I just noticed the ebay seller has another fan kit that might even be better than this solution for airflow. I might add these at a later date if I have cooling trouble.
