Handy smartphones are rare. Handy outdoor smartphones even more so. The concept of a small, robust smartphone that you have as a second device for outdoor activities is not that far-fetched. Cubot seems to be of the same opinion and offers just such handy outdoor smartphones with the King Kong Mini series. We were already able to test the first generation for you in 2020. The successor followed in 2021, the Cubot King Kong Mini 2. Now the Cubot King Kong Mini 2 Pro is in the starting blocks.

So far it is known that the smartphone will continue to have a compact 4 inch (10.16 cm) display with a resolution of 1080 x 540 pixels. With the same display diagonal and at first glance identical looks, it can be assumed that nothing has changed on the outside of the King Kong Mini 2 Pro compared to the previous year's model. Otherwise, the smartphone gets some upgrades in the Pro version. Instead of the Mediatek Helio A22, a Helio P22 SoC is now installed and the memory has also been increased to 64 GB ROM and 4 GB RAM. The Android version with number 11 is also more recent, although Android 12 is already on the market. The main camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels and the front camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels. The battery of the handy smartphone still has a capacity of 3,000 mAh. As befits a real outdoor smartphone, the King Kong Mini 2 Pro is IP65 certified and accordingly protected against water and dust.

On August 12, Cubot will announce more details about the small outdoor smartphone. The King Kong 2 Mini Pro should soon be available in Germany or via an import.
