Ken Nathens: Brahm Siegel and I got together in 1995 and established Nathens, Siegel. Twenty years later, we have five lawyers, three partners, two very good associates, and six support staff in varying roles. We only offer services in family law. We made the decision some time ago that in order to offer dedicated and focused service to our clients, it's best if we specialise in one area; therefore, we focus solely on family law matters. In fact, Brahm and I are certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as specialists in the practice of family law.

Barbara Kristanic: Our firm represents clients in a wide range of family law matters. This includes issues like divorce, custody access, child support, spousal support, property division, and visitation. We also represent clients in alternative dispute resolution.

Brahm Siegel: In addition to providing services to clients like negotiating agreements or representing them in court, we also offer a host of other services commonly known in the field as ADR, or alternative dispute resolution. ADR refers to mediation, arbitration, and collaborative family law. These are all part and parcel of a family law lawyer's toolbox and, at Nathens, Siegel, all our lawyers are trained in these fields.

People sometimes ask, “Why you? Why your firm?” At Nathens, Siegel, we're known for providing honest, competent services at a very cost-efficient rate. When people are going through a divorce or separation, they're looking for someone who will get their case settled, will keep it out of court, and will allow them to move on with their lives in an efficient, fast manner. Almost no one that I ever meet says they would like to drag things on for years and bankrupt themselves.

People want to know that if negotiations go sour or the other side isn’t cooperative, they've got someone strong in their corner who can fight for them in court and advocate in a way that's going to be persuasive to the court.
