English Transcript of Video:
“Hello! I’m Traci Ison, PCRID President. PCRID had a great and successful conference last month. First, I acknowledge Gallaudet Interpreting Services, the official sponsor for the PCRID 2019 Conference for their support in making this conference possible. Because of GIS’ generous donation, PCRID was able to offer two and a half days of workshops, panels, and presentations at a very reduced cost. So many people made this conference possible: our community sponsors with their generous donations and attendance at the booths, the presenters who willingly gave their time to come from near and far to share their knowledge with the interpreting community, the numerous interpreters who bravely delivered exquisite work. The people who led this conference were true heroes: The PCRID Board, the Conference chair and committee, and the conference volunteers. We cherish and honor you. Thank you.”
Screen Title: “CEU Processing PCRID Annual Conference Workshops”
Traci signs:
“Next, CEUs. As the board shared during the conference, the pcrid website crashed several days before the conference which presented quite a challenge. With all the teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, the conference still went on! CEUs were processed manually, by paper, and have been (and some are still) in process. Some conference attendees have reached out in email about CEUs on their RID transcript. If you do not see CEUs on your RID transcript by Feb 10th, please contact us.”
Screen Title: “Business Meeting 2019 PCRID Annual Conference”
Traci signs:
“At the business meeting, a motion to adopt new bylaws passed, and are now in place. PCRID will now restructure to align with the current bylaws, passed on December 7, 2019. You can view these new bylaws on the PCRID website. While the board did not have the opportunity to present their reports personally during the business meeting, they can be found on the PCRID website.”
The final screen reads: “www.pcrid.org News & Events Board Reports”
