The Centre has issued an advisory to all state governments and electricity authorities, ahead of the statewide strike announced by trade unions, requesting them to guarantee that the electricity supply remains operational during the strike. The Power Ministry has directed, that all power utilities must take the required steps to ensure that the energy grid is operational without any interruptions and that all plants, transmission lines, and substations are functional. A combined council of key trade unions has called for a nationwide strike on March 28 and 29 to protest the Centre's "anti-worker, anti-farmer, anti-people, and anti-national policies."
