Blind rivets come in varying sizes but fundentally all do the same job which is afix two objects together, and are better than a screw or a nut and bolt. Blind Rivets are widely known for their use in ship building as when they are used, they are always used to connect something which is not visble behind another piece of metal.

Pop rivets are the same as blind rivets, but that is the original term as when they are used in a rivet gun, they make a pop when the shank of the rivet is snapped off from the rivet itself when the application of the rivet is successful.
