(2 Oct 1994) The unrepentant ringleader of last year's failed Moscow uprising
urged communists on Sunday (2/10) to oust Russian President Former vice-president Alexander Rutskoi, addressing about
20,000 hardliners who attended a rally in Moscow to commemorate
the anniversary of the October 1993 revolt, urged the crowd to
form "a single people's movement in the struggle against
lawlessness and the unpopular regime." Mainstream
communist leader Gennady Zyuganov also attended the rally, as did
retired army general Albert Makashov.
