Mumbai Mega Block News | The Central Railways has initiated a 63-hour mega block starting midnight on May 31 to extend platforms at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Thane station, affecting 930 trains. Platform numbers 10 and 11 at CSMT are being extended for 24-coach trains, while platforms 4 and 5 at Thane are being widened. This disruption impacts lakhs of commuters, with local and long-distance services resuming on June 2 evening. The Railways advise against unnecessary travel during this period.
