Hours after a blast at the Karachi university rocked Pakistan, the Balochistan Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack. The BLA's Majeed Brigade claimed that a woman named Shari Baloch had carried out the suicide bombing. The attack killed 3 Chinese nationals, and 1 Pakistani citizen. The Chinese nationals worked at the Confucius Institute at the Karachi university. The Confucius Institute teaches Chinese language to locals.
