Toriano Adaryll Jackson, better known as Tito, was born on October 15, 1953, at St. Mary's Mercy Hospital in Gary, Indiana. As the third of ten children in the famous Jackson family, Tito grew up in a modest two-bedroom house alongside siblings Rebbie, Jackie, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, Brandon, Michael, Randy, and Janet. His father, Joseph, worked at a steel mill while also playing R&B in a band called the Falcons with his brother Luther. His mother, Katherine, a Jehovah’s Witness, was musically inclined as well, playing both the piano and clarinet.
