In this video I share my first impressions of the Pilot iro-utsushi dip pen (M) which I purchased with channel ad money from Yoseka Stationery.

We do writing samples on Tomoe River paper with 3 inks: Pilot Tsutsuji, J Herbin Poussiere de Lune, and Colorverse Red Shift.
Here is the video from Yoseka taking you thru more detailed info about the pen:

My early impression of this pen is super favorable. I wanted a quick easy way to test write with a Japanese nib without using as much ink as I do in my Serendipity so when pen friend Carol mentioned this several weeks ago I couldn't get it out of my mind. It also comes in Fine nib and translucent blue and black and they are going to carry wood versions of it too.
Hopefully these will become more available soon!
I will explore the pen more and report back in September as to how it's going. I expect to use this for Col-O-ring index cards as well as for test writing samples on my 8 inks each month as part of the progress report. I tend to only use Broad nibs or juicy Medium nibs so this will give me a non ink wasting option for tests!
Thank you for watching!
Willy is eating better with his new medications and we are having to be very crafty to locate and medicate him since the weather is so nice but he's also spending a lot of time reading with me.
