Have I Got News For You last Friday (8 Oct 2021) was the most balanced news programme on the BBC in recent times. This quote from Ian Hislop is particularly important and shows who finances the current UK ruling party.
There has been some discussing here and other Facebook groups showing frustration of the obvious insane Brexit and that the fault lies mainly with voters.
The UK is set up as a “Parliamentary Democracy” and all decisions are made by those elected, who theoretically have greater knowledge than lay people and have the interests of the people of the country at heart. Parliament choose the “Franchise” excluding many groups including millions of UK residents from EU countries.
My conclusion from Ian Hislop’s statement is that we should direct our frustration towards those who have manipulated the public and parliament to bring about the chaos that is commented on here and on TV and Press around the world, with the notable exception of the mainstream BBC and ITV programmes who are trying to avoid civil unrest.
