An all-time classic hit single, Demon Music Group presents this Top Of The Pops performance of ‘20th Century Boy’ in its full length for the first time in 50 years..

T.Rex made only one TOTP performance in support of 20th Century Boy, recorded on 28 February 1973, but the BBC did not keep a copy. However, via a licensing agreement with ZDF in Germany the bulk of the performance was broadcast on their “Disco 73” programme and a copy was retained. Demon Music Group have now been able to combine this with the Super 8 footage to complete the performance for the first time.

20th Century Boy remains one of the most-loved T.Rex tracks with its distinctive guitar riff instantly recognised for its power and style. It has been widely covered, including by Def Leppard, Placebo with David Bowie and Siouxsie & The Banshees.
