The issue is someone will join the server and see "16 more players needed", and they'll get butthurt and leave and try and rejoin another server, but the population is so that no more than 20 people START playing within an hour's time nowadays. So it's very difficult to get a new game off the ground. But when it does launch, it's great, and the server will last until it shuts down automatically. EA and Dice really cucked the matchmaking in this game, in a way that is not helping player retention. The game makes no money compared to other microtransaction cows so it makes sense they haven't updated it in 4 years, but as someone who has literally played since launch day, I wish they would update the game one more time, maybe cutting the AMOUNT of servers possible to reduce bandwidth, while also reducing the minimum required amount of players by at least half. Playing a game online with 9 other people, 5 on each team, and 30 bots, is still better than playing alone against bots. EA could make alot more money on this game and retain players in its dying breaths by doing these relatively cheap changes! Anyway that's my rant
