Take a look back at Nina Simone's 1969 anthem, which was featured on her 1970 album 'Black Gold.' Written in memory of Simone's friend, 'A Raisin In The Sun' playwright Lorraine Hansberry, Simone asked lyricist Weldon Irvine to write a song that "will make black children all over the world feel good about themselves, forever."
