Freya Merrick dos Santos has qualifications in training and assessment and education and is employed by the Yarraville Community Centre, where she works with migrants, refugees and internationally displaced people, assisting them to develop skills that will allow them to more actively participate in their community.
Freya was the winner of the Excellence in Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice Award at the 2014 Australian Training Awards. The award recognises an individual who has demonstrated outstanding innovation and excellence in the delivery of English language, literacy and numeracy skills in an educational community or workplace context.
