Back in the summer Matt and I headed off from a week in the Inner Hebrides and drove to Aviemore to start a double loop of the Cairngorms. We’d wanted to do this ride for some time and were looking forward to the 181 mile route through some of the more remote parts of the Cairngorms National Park.
We started day one in Aviemore and would be aiming to get as far as possible, although we would start at lunchtime as we’d driven from the west coast. The weather looked good for the start of our journey, although the forecast wasn’t so good for the next few days.
Although it was a ‘half’ day the trails were really nice. Lot’s of single track through pine forests and beautiful glens. The landscape was pretty open and it was actually fairly warm.
Just a quick note on the filming. I had a new set up and the angle of my GoPro was slightly off. Not too bad and fixed the angle for day two. Hope it isn’t too distracting.
I hope that you enjoy watching this adventure. 😀
Here’s a link to Strava so you can see the exact route.
