Meet the latest generation of MG’s best-selling car in Australia, the MG ZS small SUV. In this video, we highlight five key things you need to know about this versatile and city-friendly vehicle.

First launched in Australia in 2017 with a petrol engine, the MG ZS lineup expanded in 2020 with the introduction of a fully electric variant. Now, the Chinese carmaker has unveiled an all-new, second-generation ZS, featuring a hybrid powertrain for the first time.

The petrol-electric model arrives several years after the ZS established itself as a leader on the Aussie sales charts, thanks largely to its affordable price point. Built on a new platform shared with the smaller MG3 Hybrid, the 2024 MG ZS is initially available only with a hybrid powertrain, starting at $33,990 before on-road costs. A more affordable petrol version is expected in early 2025.

But can this refreshed compact SUV continue to outsell rivals like the Mazda CX-30, Hyundai Kona, and Toyota Corolla Cross to remain the top choice for Australians?
