Slough missed out on the chance to close the gap at the top of the table as Chalfont came away from Holloways Park with a deserved point.
Chalfont took the lead in the first half as Terrell Lewis stole in at the back post to prod home a deflected cross and took a deserved lead into the break.
Slough came out with a renewed purpose in the second half and finally got back on level terms through a Sean Sonner header midway through the half.
Despite some pressure following the goal, Slough were unable to find the winner and with Chalfont looking dangerous on the break, an exciting finish to the game ensued.
However, with leaders St Neots drawing, it could be considered as a missed opportunity for Slough to close the gap at the top.
