XPeng launched the P5 as the world's first production car with LiDAR fitted and it's this tech that enables the P5 to drive itself (to an extent) on both highways and, in Beta-version at least, on the city streets of Guangzhou. It's often billed as a direct competitor to the Tesla Model 3 and NIO ET5 but is a very different car in many ways, not least on price. We took it for a drive to find out exactly how it stacks up.
