President Museveni has promised to improve the health sector and the road network in Karamoja. The President made this promise during his first rally in the Karamoja sub-region.
President Museveni started his campaigns today in Kaabong, later moved to Dodoth county and finally Abim district. The people, excited to have him among them, presented him with gifts of traditional clothing.
The president was accompanied by his wife Janet Museveni who is also the Minister for Karamoja and also the MP for Ruhama county.
For his part, president Museveni sought to remind the people of the region of how far they had come over the years that NRM has been in power.
Museveni however acknowledged that there was still a lot to be done and he promised to prioritize the improvement of Karamoja's transport network and electricity supply.
