With the world opening back up, and vaccination appointments becoming readily available, a here's community webinar featuring a panel of health care experts and trans leaders on the importance of getting vaccinated when it is your turn!
The approval of three vaccines in the U.S. means we are one step closer to ending the pandemic. NCTE knows how important it is for our community to be healthy and protected from the virus. Unfortunately, we also know that there are genuine fears associated with accessing health care as a trans person, like discrimination and disrespect.
Our community has also been exposed to vaccine misinformation which might deter us from getting this life-saving resource. This webinar seeks to dispel the fears, myths, and concerns surrounding the vaccines and empower our entire community to get vaccinated and help our entire country stay safe and healthy!
The webinar will feature Bamby Salcedo (she/her), President and CEO of The TransLatin@ Coalition, Steph DeNormand (they/them), Trans Health Program Manager at Fenway Health, Elsbet Servay (she/her), Immunization Clinical Director at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, and D Ojeda (they/them), Health Policy Advocate at NCTE. The event will be moderated by Sean McCarthy (he/they), NCTE’s Development Manager.
