After servicing this 1991 set for Alan, it was time for Mr Chippie to test it.
As usual, Mr Chippie drove along the 6-mile 'difficult terrain for radio' test route to see how this radio performed. He stopped at the 5-mile pont for a static low power test at 400mW.
Mr Chippie didn't ike the sound of the non-original Midland microphone supplied, so I swapped to my own factory original mike. At the end whin I demonstrated the radio to my base station, I started with my factory orininal mike, then the customer supplied Midand branded mike, then a new 'standard replacement' mike.
Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio fitted in the test vehicle. This is the sole reason for the 'paid Promotion' flag on this video.
